Join the Commuter Book Club in reading (or listening to) “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy” by John le Carré. It’s the kind of book that makes metro the stops fly by, but doesn’t take you six weeks to finish.

Meetup and Chat: Thursday,  November 20, 7:00 p.m. at Le Pain Quotidien in Clarendon.

  • Think you’ll make it? Register on Meetup.
  • Think you won’t make it, but wish you could? Join us on twitter – we’ll live tweet the discussion using #aplrideread.

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
by John le Carré

When his handler is accused of treason, British spy George Smiley is also dismissed from his agency. To clear his name and prove his loyalty, Smiley takes a job from Oliver Lacon, the Permanent Undersecretary to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, in an attempt to identify and capture the real traitor. He also begins his epic game of international chess with his Soviet counterpart, an agent named Karla.
