Spend an evening hearing the hard-earned wisdom of Virginia author/organic farmer Forrest Pritchard.gaininggr

Gaining Ground” is Pritchard’s humorous, poetic, heartwarming – and very timely – memoir of his efforts to save his family’s farm. What ensues—through encounters with all manner of livestock and colorful local characters—is a crash course in sustainable agriculture.

Forrest Pritchard is a professional farmer, writer and public speaker. Smith Meadows, in Berryville, Virginia, has sold at leading farmers’ markets in Washington D.C. for 15 years, including markets in Arlington.

Publisher’s Weekly has named “Gaining Ground” a Top Ten Book for Summer 2013.

Presented in partnership with One More Page Books.

Just wanted to mention that Forrest is at the Courthouse Farmer’s Market every Saturday (even in the winter!) @ the Smith Meadow stand.
