I am interested in learning Spanish. Would the English conversation group be a good setting for me to hear and speak some Spanish?

        • The Librarians says:

This is really a group for practicing English, and it is made up of people who speak many different languages, not just Spanish. If you would like to practice Spanish, we suggest you attend the Spanish Language Conversation Class, which takes place on Thursday evenings at Central Library.

I am interested in English conversation classes. Can I attend with my 2 year old kid?

  6. Adrienne Connolly says:

I have a German exchange student staying with our family. Is this group mostly adults or are there sometimes teens? How many people usually attend on average? Is there a facilitator to guide the conversation?

    • The Librarians says:

Many of our participants are younger college students, so your exchange student would probably feel comfortable. Between 10 and 20 people usually attend each class, and an experienced volunteer teacher facilitates the conversation.

  7. Estefania says:

Hi, the English conversation class are only from 1 to 2 pm all wednesday? Do you have more days and hours of English conversation class available?

  8. Lisette says:

Hi, I want to attend to the English conversation class but I don’t have a library card and I live in Burke Lake. I really don’t mind traveling to Arlington. Can I participate in the weekly classes without the library card?
