Get help with your 2009 taxes with the AARP Volunteer Tax Assistance at the Columbia Pike Branch Library. AARP volunteers offer free, basic tax assistance and income tax preparation for taxpayers with low- and middle-income, with special attention to those age 60 and older.
There are no scheduled appointments. Assistance is offered on a first come, first serve basis. Please sign up upon on arrival at the door to the 2nd floor study room. Same-day assistance is not guaranteed. Wait time for assistance can be up to a few hours. To minimize wait time, try to arrive 15 to 30 minutes before the start of an assistance period.

Tax assistance starts Tuesday Feb. 2nd and continues through Thursday, Apr. 15th
Tuesdays 1:15 pm – 7:45 pm
Thursdays 10 am – 2 pm
Saturdays 10 am – 2 pm
AARP volunteers only prepare 2009 Federal and Virginia full and part year resident income tax returns, and federal and Virginia amended and previous year tax returns for tax years 2006 through 2008.
