On Sunday, May 15 the Aurora Hills Librarians marked the birthday of author Paul Zindel.
Zindel started his career as a high school science teacher, teaching chemistry and physics but after penning his first novel The Pigman he quit teaching to follow his true calling, writing. In total he published 39 books, mostly for children and young adults, 8 movie screenplays, and 8 plays. His first play The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-In-The-Moon Marigolds won a Pullitzer Prize.
Celebrate with us by checking out one of his many titles like The Pigman and Me.
