Recycled Art Show 2012 [closed]

Seeking submissions of art made out of recycled materials

Art work must be comprised of at least 50% recycled material. Art work may be two or three dimensional.

This competition is open to artists who, if selected, are able to hand deliver/pick-up their work at Arlington Central Library.

Application Deadline: May 15, 2012

Applications must include:

  • Completed Entry Form (pdf)
  • Photo or 300dpi image of the work described. Digital images can be submitted on a CD, a flashdrive, or via email to ikauff@arlingtonva.us

Delivery and Pick-up of Art Work
Accepted artwork must be delivered to Central Library on Thursday, May 31 and will remain at the library through Saturday, June 30. All art must be picked up on Saturday, June 30.

Sales and Commission
Work displayed at the Library may be offered for sale by the artist. 20% of the proceeds from the sale of any artwork displayed in this exhibit and sold during the exhibit will be donated to the Friends of Arlington Public Library.

      You can submit up to 5 pieces, and we do not have a size limit on submissions.

      No – Artists of any age are invited to submit work.

    I was wondering if clothing would be an option. I have a dress that is to be in a local fashion show featuring recycled/repurposed materials I think could work well.
