Saturday, May 12, is Neighborhood Day in Arlington!
From 10 a.m. to noon, families can enjoy fun activities just outside of the Westover Branch Library.
As part of Neighborhood Day celebration, Westover’s Teen Planning Committee will debut a cardboard arcade inspired by the short film Caine’s Arcade.
9 year-old Caine Monroy gained fame last month in the film, which documents how he created an arcade out of cardboard and tape in his dad’s auto parts store:

Other activities sponsored by the Highland Park Overlee-Knolls Civic Association include a visit from a local fire station*, a giant moon bounce, and fitness activities such as jump rope, hula hoop, and hop scotch.
*Fire station visit is dependent on whether or not the station receives any emergency calls at that time.
All ages are welcome! Contact Laurian Eckle at laurian.eckle@sum2sea.com for more information, or learn more about Neighborhood Day.
