Megan Coyle's Animal Collages

Post Published: July 21, 2012

Painting with Paper

On exhibit at the Shirlington Branch Library, July 2012

“The exhibit explores a variety of species meticulously constructed from bits and pieces of magazine pages. The work showcases how recycled materials can be used to make intricate works of art. The animal collages were inspired by zoos around the U.S., especially the National Zoo in D.C., as well as museums like the Smithsonian’s Natural History Museum.”

I thought that these images by Megan Coyle were excellent. I do enjoy all of the works that you exhibit at The Shirlington Library. It is also nice to have a write up on the artist and the prices of those works that are for sale as soon as the exhibit goes up.
