Paris by Day, Paris by Night
On Exhibit at the Cherrydale Branch Library through April 2, 2013
About the Artist:
I have had an interest in photography from an early age. After studying film photography in high school for two years, I have found that the advances in digital photography in the last decade have made my pursuit of taking, publishing, and sharing photographs much more accessible.
Over the past 10 years, photography has become my main hobby, and I hope to continue to improve and progress as a photographer. At the beginning of the digital photography age, I took part in an on-line photography challenge (Photo-A-Week), which involved taking and posting at least one photo each week for critique and comments, for two years. Participating in the project and the exposure to works of other photographers helped me improve my technical ability, composition, and creativity. I continue to study the art of photography at seminars, lectures, and classes and hope to someday turn this passion into a second career.
My interest in photography, travel, and architecture has allowed me to capture numerous images from the Washington area and around the world, some of which are part of this exhibit.
