Illuminating Nature
On Exhibit at Central Library, May 2013
Capturing the smallest parts of Nature can illuminates the role it plays in the larger picture of the world around us.
Ranging from the playful dance of the sycamore seeds to the explosion of color in the lotus pod, Nereide Ellis’ photos of Nature’s small secrets takes us into ever expanding experiences of wonder.

These four photographs of Nereide Ellis are impressive in their amazing artistic details. If one of her goals was to illuminate the exquisite details that nature has to offer us, she more than succeeded. I regret I didn’t have the opportunity to view Nereide’s entire exhibit at the library. I wish her success as she continues to follow her chosen path in one of her favorite pursuits, one that has piqued her interest for more than four decades — photography.
