Let Us Kn0w How You’re Doing!

Since 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten started in March 2013, over 175,050 books have been read to 1585 babies and preschoolers.  If your child is registered and you haven’t checked in with us recently, visit the library to let us know how you’re doing – and get your milestone prizes!

And when your child reaches 1,000 books, he or she will enter the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Hall of Fame:

Reading to young children, whether by parents, grandparents, older siblings, cousins, librarians or other caregivers, is one of the best ways to prepare them for success in kindergarten.

So swing by the library to fill us in on your progress, or sign your preschooler up. You’ll have fun, earn prizes, and prepare your child to be ready to learn to read in kindergarten.
