Central Library is undergoing maintenance to repair and upgrade the roof, HVAC systems, elevators and restrooms.

The smaller surface parking lot directly off Quincy Street is closed and will be closed through Fall 2025.

The entire project is anticipated to last through Spring 2026. The library will remain accessible and operational throughout the project.

Our apologies for any inconvenience or disruption as we provide regularly scheduled maintenance to our building.

Current Work (subject to change):

• Interior work to all public restrooms on the second floor is scheduled to begin in May. Restroom work on the second floor is planned to take approximately three months. This is an estimate and timing could change. During this time, patrons will need to use restrooms on the first floor.
• Work on the roof, which could cause noise disruption, is scheduled to continue for the next several weeks, possibly until early Summer.
