Art Exhibits

Experience "The Art of Food" at Central

We received over 50 diverse submissions to The Art of Food exhibit – classic still lifes, funny interpretations, food in action, food being manhandled, art made from food, wearable food and more.

Come into Central Library from April 1 -30 and savor the show for yourself – you will find the exhibit on the first and second floors.

Bon Appétit!

The Art of Food exhibit is part of the Library’s Arlington Reads 2010 program.

Artist Julian Oteyza Featured at Shirlington

Julian Oteyza, a painter from the Philippines, is the Shirlington Branch Library’s featured artist for the month of November.

Oteyza paints on circular canvasses and views the circle as an “ancient mystical symbol…representing wholeness.” We are pleased to be exhibiting his work in the spirit of Thanksgiving.

You can find examples of his work on our Flickr page, but it’s even more exciting in person.
