FAQs

How many books will I receive?

Each participant will receive a total of 5 books: one book each month from September - December, with a bonus book in December.

Do we get to keep the books or do we have to return them to the Library?

You get to keep the books.

What are the books?

A select panel of early childhood literacy experts, caregivers, and Librarians reviewed titles for inclusion, and choose books that meet the different needs and interests of children in each grade level.

What if I miss a month?

We will bring copies of the previous months' books to each stop. So for example, if you miss October's book giveaway, you can come in November for both October and November's titles.

What if I cannot make any of the times or dates?

Please contact us at mybook@arlingtonva.us to see how we can support you.

How can I help?

Do you know a student in Arlington who qualifies and is not yet receiving MyBook books? Give their parents/guardians a brochure/registration form and encourage them to fill it out. Telling them about this free program can make a huge difference in their future and the future of our community.

If you know of a business, organization or individual who would like to donate funds to support this gift to your children, donations can be sent to:

Who do I contact if I have questions?

Please email us at mybook@arlingtonva.us.
