Services and Programs
Westover History
1949 - Original Westover Library opens in two apartments at the corner of Washington Boulevard and Longfellow Street.
1962 - Groundbreaking for a new building at 1800 N Lexington St.
June 16, 1963 - The building at 1800 N Lexington St - a split-level structure designed by the same architects who also designed Cherrydale and the Central Library building - becomes the first official Westover Branch Library building.
Sept. 26, 2009 - The Old Westover Branch Library closes for the final time.
Oct. 30, 2009 - The current Westover Branch Library / Reed School opens to the public at 1644 N. McKinley Rd.
March 30, 2010 - The former Westover Library building on N Lexington St is demolished.
July 2010 - Reed-Westover Projects earns Gold LEED Certification.
