Submit a Program or Partnership Proposal
Thank you for your interest in presenting a program or proposing a partnership with the library. Please read the following information carefully and complete the form at the bottom of this page. Depending on the format and content of your program, the library may agree to assist in promoting and marketing your program. The library will explore possible partnerships or co-hosting a program if: the program aligns with our programming priorities, we have adequate staffing capacity, and the proposed program either complements current programming or fills a critical need or gap.
To reserve a Library meeting room for a self-run program, visit the Meeting Room page.
Programs
The library presents thousands of programs. All programs are free and open to the public, for patrons of all ages, and with a wide variety of interests. Programming at Arlington Public Library is designed to fulfill the Library’s Mission and Vision.
Author programs hosted by the library should have the author's featured book in the library's collection. To suggest your book be added to the library catalog, please review the Materials Selection Policy and submit a Materials Purchase Suggestion from your library account. Authors whose work does not conform to these guidelines are welcome to reserve a meeting room on their own for a self-run program.
Please note:
- All library programs must be free and open to the public.
- Library partnerships do not constitute an offer of monetary compensation.
- As with all library volunteers, program presenters may be subject to a reference check and a criminal background check.
Due to the high volume of proposals received, we are not able to contact applicants unless the proposal falls within these parameters: it aligns with our programming priorities, we have adequate staffing capacity, and it complements current library programming or fills a critical need or gap.
