Readers of all ages are invited to explore the joy of reading - then celebrate your success on March 2 with a hot chocolate party and fun activities!

How to Participate
- Keep track of your reading! You can use the Library App or a Winter Reading bookmark.
- When you've read three books, visit your preferred Library location to claim your prize.
Prizes
- Young Children: Sticker book
- Children, Teens and Adult: A beautiful bookmark of your choosing
- New! Everyone who completes the Winter Reading challenge will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a set of four tickets to either a Washington Wizards game or a Washington Capitals game!
Hot Chocolate Party
Join us on Saturday, March 2 at 2 p.m. at either Central, Columbia Pike, Shirlington and Westover Library to celebrate your participation in Winter Reading with a Hot Chocolate Party! RSVP for an event reminder.
Kickoff Event
Join the Library on Saturday, Jan. 6 at MedStar Capitals Iceplex to kickoff Winter Reading! Watch the players practice, take photos with Slapshot and visit with Library staff to learn about all of the exciting programs happening at the Library.
