Youth Services Coordinator, Collection Development Specialist, Branch Manager – Kristi Jemtegaard has worn many hats in her 26 years with Arlington Public Library. She wears quite a few hats outside the library as well – book reviewer for the Washington Post, adjunct faculty at the University of Virginia, and collector of oddball antiques and original art from children’s books.
Kristi’s vast knowledge of children’s programming (including serving on the prestigious Caldecott and Newbery committees), and her innate sense of fun, will be invaluable to the Westover Branch Library community. We’re delighted to have her!
(can you guess who Kristi dressed up as for our Halloween opening?)

Thanks. Hi, Kristi–I stopped by and saw your beautiful new library today. I'm sorry to have missed you. I know you were at Capitol Choices. I'm hoping to be well enough to start attending CC meetings again in March.Anyway, I just wanted you to know that when you Google "Westover Branch Library" the first hit you get is: http://www.arlingtonva.us/Departments/libraries/about/LibrariesAboutWestover.aspxUnfortunately, this is for an Arlington County web page that someone forgot to take down that shows that Westover is still at 1800 N. Lexington Street.Merry Christmas! I hope you are enjoying your new position.Julie Ramsay

Is there aa book group/ discussion in the future of the branch?
The Westover Librarians says
Thank you for the inquiry – we're hoping to start a book discussion group soon. Check back here for more information.

When will the drive-through book drop that was behind the Westover library be replaced? Its absence is contributing to the already strained parking on the front side of the library, and that book drop by the entrance to the school, despite the ramps, is not very friendly to people with disabilities.

could you please set the correct time on the printer. thanks
The Librarians says
We'll pass the printer request on to the folks who can do such things. In the meantime, you can also talk to the Westover desk staff – if it's something they can fix immediately, they'll do so.

could you please install the coupon printer on the computers in the Westover library, so we can print coupons.Thank you.
The Librarians says
Hi Anonymous,Legitimate coupons can be printed on the regular printer – if you have trouble doing so, don't hesitate to ask the staff for help. Any coupons that need a specialized printer, or require you to install specialized software, can't be printed at the Library.

please correct the time on the computers. thanks

Anonymous -Because of the safety features on our public PCs, the clocks may be off by one hour for 6 months of the year. It is a bit confusing, but will not affect PC reservations or internet use.

please fix it so that firefox web browser will work at the westover librarythanks
The Librarians says
Please let the Westover staff know the number of the computer or computers that are having trouble. Some of the public PCs are currently experiencing problems accessing online email and https sites through Firefox, and we need to adjust the settings on those particular computers.
Anonymous says
computers # 15, 16, 17, & 18 so far are all having the same problem trying to access email through firefox.
The Librarians says
We continue to have intermittent issues with Firefox accessing secure sites that start with HTTPS in the URL – these are often login pages for sites like banks, eBay, email providers, etc. We are working on a solution, but in the meantime you can use Internet Explorer when this occurs.
