Did the DVD skip right before the end of the movie? Did the the last CD for your audio book not play? We want to hear about it!
When you return your materials, please let us know if any of the audio visual items you checked out don’t work properly. We can often clean up the discs or resurface them so that the materials can be circulated. Also, we can help locate another copy of the same item in our system for you.
And thanks for your help – we rely on your input to keep our AV materials working well for all of our patrons.

When I get a badly damaged Book on CD or a DVD, I put post-it's on the back on the container and inside the box as i know the person checking it in will look at the bar code and check to be sure all discs are inside.I bought a special pencil and cloth at The Container Store which often works for repairing the skip. Sometimes the Disc just has the result of sticky fingers on it.

Post it notes on the container or inside the box work great for the book drop. We really appreciate it! We certainly do see the residue of a lot of sticky fingers.

It's also everybody's responsability to take good care of library materials, specially the parents of little ones. I often check out materials for my toddler and the DVD's are all scratched up.

Yes! We really appreciate patrons taking good care of library materials so that everyone can enjoy them. However, DVDs and CDs are not particularly hardy mediums and do get scratched. Please let us know if you check out materials that are scratched and unplayable. We will try to clean up or repair the item.
