During this holiday season, the Library is assisting the Arlington Food Assistance Center in its efforts to gather donated food for Arlington residents in need.
AFAC supplements the groceries of 1200 Arlington families each week - approximately 3000 people, almost half of whom are children. Non-perishable food can be donated at the following Library locations:
- Central Library
- Aurora Hills Branch Library
- Cherrydale Branch Library
- Columbia Pike Branch Library
- Shirlington Branch Library
For over 20 years, AFAC has provided groceries to Arlington residents who cannot afford to purchase sufficient food to meet their basic needs. Learn more.
