On Monday, A Ball for Daisy by Chris Raschka won the coveted 2012 Caldecott Medal!
 
Caldecott honors were awarded to Blackout by John Rocco; Grandpa Green by Lane Smith; and Me… Jane by Patrick McDonnell.

You can see how Arlington elementary school mock-Caldecott committees stacked up against the official committee.  Especially look at their honor selections–they did a great job!
