An informed citizenry leads to the best kind of government.

That’s why Arlington County, under the guidance of Board Chair Mary Hughes Hynes, has introduced PLACE: Participation, Leadership and Civic Engagement.

Board members are now holding Open Door Mondays, informal chats at locations across the County,  no appointment necessary.

There’s also an effort to broaden and improve the conversation between residents and government as County initiatives take shape. We all benefit when civic engagement reaches a quality level worthy of Arlington.
