At the end of Summer Reading 2013, the Friends of the Arlington Public Library donated over $3000 to the Queens Library Foundation to help replace materials destroyed by Huricane Sandy – $1 for each kid who completed Summer Reading.
Our deepest thanks go to the Friends, and to all the kids and teens who read and turned in their Summer Reading logs, and enabled us to support this library system that did so much to help its community in a terrible time.

Staff from the Queens Library stand in front of one of their libraries that is still in need of renovation after being flooded by Huricane Sandy.
