This year we held a contest to try to guess which books would win the prestigious Newbery and Caldecott book awards.

Everyone who voted in our contest was eligible to win a copy of the actual 2014 winning book.

Siblings Jenny (age 11) and Stevie (age 9) won a copy of the 2014 Newbery Medal winner, Kate DiCamillo’s “Flora and Ulysses.”

 

Layla, a student at Patrick Henry, won a copy of the 2014 Caldecott Medal winner, Brian Floca’s “Locomotive.”
