Charlotte Landis and Leslie Wilder: Watercolors

Post Published: December 11, 2014

Take a Closer Look…

On exhibit December 2014 at Central Library.

Charlotte Landis and Leslie Wilder - Watercolors

About Charlotte Landis:

“As an award-winning artist, specializing in watercolor, Charlotte Landis has found her voice by painting the very subject of her fondest childhood memories. As a young girl, she spent countless hours with her parents maintaining and nurturing their garden. This passion for nature continued into adulthood, eventually inspiring Charlotte to become a Master Gardener. Intrigued with the movement and arrangement that she found in nature, she delights in highlighting the details she discovers in the earth. Charlotte’s paintings come to life as she invites the viewer to take a closer look.

Charlotte is a member of Potomac Valley Watercolorists, Virginia Watercolor Society, Springfield Art Guild, Alexandria Art League and Del Ray Artisans.”

About Leslie Wilder:

“Being a native of Gloucester, Massachusetts, Leslie was inspired as a child to pick up a paintbrush. She took a number of classes over the years but was unable to devote the time she wished to it until she retired in 1993 from a career as an editor. Since then, she has taken many art classes and exhibited her watercolors and pastels with several local art groups, including the Springfield Art Guild, the Art League at the Torpedo Factory, and Cobblestone Gallery in Old Town, Alexandria. For six years she rented studio space at Columbia Pike Artist Studios.”
