New Afternoon Session of Baby Steps

Post Published: January 14, 2015

Baby Steps is a storytime specifically designed for children under the age of 12 months, with activities that include bounces, tickles, songs, action rhymes, and of course reading books.

But baby storytime isn’t just fun! Studies have shown that families who start reading aloud to their children at birth help to strengthen their language skills and build their vocabulary – two important tools for beginning to learn to read when they enter kindergarten.

So join Miss Megan on Wednesdays at the Shirlington Branch Library for Baby Steps at 10:00 a.m. – or come to our new 4:00 p.m. session (scheduled to better accommodate those morning naps).
