Because Homelessness Affects an Entire Community
Arlington’s Department of Human Services, Doorways for Women and Families and A-SPAN have produced a special exhibit at Central Library on the often sudden, frequently long-lasting impact of becoming homeless.
Amid displays on the numbers of those affected in the County, visitors have been offering their own definitions of “home” and what makes them feel safe and wanted there.
The exhibit also features Arlington’s “10 Year Plan to End Homelessness,” which addresses housing affordability and the importance of moving people quickly from the street and shelters to permanent, stable homes.
The exhibit was on display at Central Library during the month of January, 2015.
If you or someone you know is homeless or in danger of becoming homeless, call the DHS Community Assistance Bureau at 703-228-1300. After hours, weekends and holidays contact CrisisLink at 703-527-4077.

There is no date on this announcement. I only found something that indicates this was posted in Jan. 2015 when I scrolled down to make this comment, but there also is no information about the exhibition length – is it still up? Who knows if you look at this posting.
