Celebrating Dr. Suess’s 111th Birthday

Over 90 people, young and not so young, turned out to celebrate one of our favorite author’s birthdays on Saturday at the Shirlington Branch Library!

We made Cat in the Hat faces, Lorax mustaches, and fish bowls, and we had fun reading hits like “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish,” “The Cat in the Hat” and “The Lorax.”

And what celebration would be complete without rhymes and songs!

 

And of course, we ended with an unforgettable rendition of “Happy Birthday!”
