Over the last six months, Plaza Branch Library manager (and comedian) Kerby Valladares has led a series of workshops designed to give newcomers a taste of the standup comedy life.

Rookie comedians have met local comics, learned how to shape their act, and gotten to know the Metro DC comedy scene.

Now they’re ready for their first comedy showcase!

You can watch these fledgling comedians perform alongside some of the area’s comedy best on April 27, 7:00 p.m. at Bayou Bakery, in the Courthouse neighborhood.
