Starting Oct. 12, Libby requires a library card number and PIN
All Libby users will be required to sign in with both their library card number and a PIN/password following the update.
This is a Libby platform-wide change for all library systems, including Arlington Public Library.
Your checkouts, holds and reading history will remain intact.
What you'll need
To sign in to Libby, you'll need:
- Your Arlington Public Library card number (Don't know it? Look it up here.)
- Your PIN/password (Don't know it? Reset it online.)
For many patrons, the default PIN is the month and day of your birthday (MMDD).
If you're still having trouble, contact the Library. Our staff will be happy to help you verify your account information and get you back into Libby.
Need a library card?
A library card gives you access to thousands of free digital titles through Libby, along with many other library services. If you don't have a card yet, now is the perfect time to sign up.
If you've misplaced your card, stop by any Arlington Public Library location for a replacement.
Keep enjoying Libby
Once you've signed in with your library card number and PIN, you'll continue to have access to Arlington Public Library's extensive digital collection.
Whether you're looking for your next ebook, audiobook for your commute, or the latest digital magazine, Libby makes it easy to borrow and enjoy library materials anytime.
Thank you for your patience as we implement this change, and happy reading and listening!
