Charlie Clark Center for Local History

Note: Due to construction, some CCCLH materials are temporarily unavailable. These materials include Arlington school yearbooks, any items listed in the catalog as Rare (with a call number beginning with "VAX"), historical BOCA Building Codes and the historical Arlington School Board minutes.

Once construction is finished, these items will again be available for patron use.

Charlie Clark Center for Local History: Where Stories Live

The Charlie Clark Center for Local History (CCCLH) collects, preserves, and shares resources that illustrate Arlington County’s history, diversity and communities.

Librarians and archivists develop collections of unique research material and make them available for use by residents, students, teachers, genealogists, scholars, authors, journalists and anyone interested in learning more about Arlington County.

The Charlie Clark Center for Local History operates a public Research Room at Central Library and maintains the Arlington Community Archives, an off-site archival repository.

Research Consultations are available by advance appointment.

Tuesday: 1 - 5 p.m.
Wednesday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Thursday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
