Arlington Community Archives

The Arlington Community Archives collects and preserves historical documents that narrate the history of Arlington County, its citizens, organizations, and social issues. Researchers can find personal papers, photographs, and archival records of local organizations, clubs, and associations. The archives are an extension of the Charlie Clark Center for Local History, the County's local history collection located at Central Library.

Charlie Clark Center Local History: Where Stories Live

The collections of the Arlington Community Archives are stored at the Carrie Johnson Archival Center, within the Woodmont Center in Arlington. Because this facility is off-site and closed to the public, researchers need to allow one week for materials to be retrieved and made available in the CCCLH Reading Room. To view archival material, please make a research consultation appointment.
