Bring your favorite (or maybe 2nd favorite!) stuffed animal and join us for a sleepover-themed storytime. Stuffed animals are invited to spend the night at the Library and can be picked up the next day.

Opioid Awareness Panel Discussion
Wednesday, Feb. 6, 7-9 p.m.
This discussion will include an overview of the opioid epidemic and how our community has been affected. Panelists include an addiction treatment provider, Arlington PD, Human Services, a person living in recovery, and a family member with a loved one who has suffered from addiction.

Paint Night: Kehinde Wiley x Kara Walker
Wednesday, Feb. 20, 6:30 - 9 p.m.
Kehinde Wiley is an American painter most known for his portraits of African American men and women set against classical European painting motifs. Kara Walker is an American artist working in various mediums, renowned for her cut paper silhouettes depicting histories of the American south. Participants will combine their techniques to create a unique portrait or self-portrait! Register.

30 Years of Style
Saturday, Feb. 23, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Learn about popular fashion from the 1920's - 1940's, from the Art Deco Society of Washington, D.C. Live models will present examples of authentic women's vintage fashion from the roaring 1920s, the depressed 1930s, and the wartime 1940s.

Death Café: Exploring the Subject of Death
Wednesday, Feb. 27

A Death Café is an informal group-directed discussion about death and other end of life issues. Jamie Arthurs from Dignity Memorial and Jane Morrison from Capital Caring will facilitate the conversation along with library staff. Coffee and sweet treats will be served.
