| Artist Statement | The widespread use of smartphones means that many people are walking around with cameras at their fingertips (or in their pockets). Long an admirer of photography, but not formally trained, I have been using my iPhone to document extraordinary scenes that that punctuate otherwise ordinary days: vibrant street musicians in New Orleans; a giant foot (part of a sculpture) looming over an unsuspecting pedestrian; a frog's epic staredown. I hope that my photography inspires others to pause and see the art in their daily lives. |
