| Artist Statement | Postpartum Support Virginia is a statewide nonprofit that provides support to women who are experiencing mental health challenges during pregnancy and postpartum. We are looking for a venue to bring Dr. Seyed Shobeiri's powerful, nationally recognized art exhibition focused on maternal mental health and postpartum depression awareness to Arlington this summer. We are incorporating an oral narrative component to accompany each evocative painting and create a truly multi-sensory and immersive experience. We would love to partner with Arlington Libraries to bring this thought-provoking and high-profile exhibit to the community, lawmakers, and healthcare providers. Do you have any spaces that might be appropriate for up to 25 large paintings ranging from 24”x36”x0.5 to 48”x60”x1.5”? We could reduce the number in order to work with your available space. |
