World Cup at the Library

Post Published: June 23, 2010

Quite a group gathered Wednesday at Central Library…

They started out as patrons browsing the new books, or staff helping patrons. But when the welcome desk tv screen turned to today’s World Cup soccer game, they transformed into an excited (but relatively quiet) crowd, watching anxiously as the US team just barely defeated Algeria with a last second goal.

We’ll see you at the next game!

Would this justify setting up in the auditorium?(I don't know what that entails, but think it would be nice.)

Anonymous – The auditorium would be a great place to view the games, but we've got other events already scheduled there.
