Welcome the Newest American Girls

Post Published: March 20, 2013

The Library is proud to announce the arrival of four additional American Girl Dolls into the collection.

The newest Library ambassadors to the worlds of literature, history and imagination are:

  • NewGirlscroppedJosefina Montoya – Growing up on a New Mexican “rancho” in the 1820s
  • Addy Walker – Who escaped slavery hoping to see her family reunited in 1860s Philadelphia
  • Rebecca Rubin – Part of a Russian-Jewish immigrant family adapting to life in New York just before WWI
  • Ivy Ling – From a big Chinese family in 1970s California and b.f.f. of Julie Albright

Just like the rest of the Library’s growing collection of American Girl Dolls, the new four can be placed on hold and taken home for a week of new adventures.
