Westover Kids Support the Queens Library

Published: July 1, 2013

Jonah and Annabel, You are Very Cool in Our Book!

Inspired by Summer Reading 2013, Jonah and Annabel have been selling their own baked goods and hand-drawn cartoons to raise money for the Queens Library:

Jonah and Annabel raise money for Queens Library

On Saturday, they brought in $8. Today they came back with an additional $24.75, for a total of $32.75!

For every student who completes Summer Reading this year, the Friends of the Arlington Public Library will donate $1 to the Queens Public Library, to help replace library materials ruined last fall by Hurricane Sandy.

Direct donations to help replace Queens Library books and materials can also be made through the Queens Library Foundation.

BRAVO Jonah and Annabel! I work in a school where we hope to inspire kids to take ACTION in their lives wherever and however they are inspired to do so. Thanks for being a local example of how kids can take action on issues they care about. I hope lots of kids see what you have done and it helps them think about how they can make a difference too!

Congrats to your parents too for supporting your ideas! 🙂 I am sure this is only the beginning of the two of you making the world a better place! 🙂
