An Excellent Day for a Beautiful Ride
On Saturday, April 19, Arlington Public Library’s 7th annual Tour de Bibliotheques toured Arlington in perfect biking weather — cool and sunny.
Eighteen riders gathered at Central Library mid-morning:
The group stayed together some of the ride, and at other times split into a fast group and a slower group.
The ride stopped at all open Library locations (Plaza is closed on weekends), so participants got to tour the Community Garden at the Glencarlyn Branch Library, take regular map and rest breaks, and eat lunch. Check out all the photos on flickr.
Some riders opted to ride only part of the route, and seven rode the entire course. But everyone had fun, and learned about libraries and biking routes in Arlington!
Our thanks to everyone who made the ride so much fun this year, especially Joan Britt and Ron Altemus!
