The Numbers Are In: Arlington Reads Around the World

The Reach of the Internet Never Ceases to Amaze

While we knew that May’s Arlington Reads 2015 appearance by author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichi was a standing-room-only, two-remote-viewing-areas blockbuster, we now know Ms. Adichi’s appearance is also an international phenomenon.

The video, produced by our friends at Arlington Television, has been viewed almost 5,000 times in more than 125 countries and counting.

It’ll be fun to check back in, say, 5 years to see just how many people have watched the Adichie program by then.

That would also allow us to compare the numbers with that of Arlington Reads 2011 author Tim O’Brien, whose talk at Central Library has now been viewed more than 49,000 times, the all-time record for an ATV program.

Thanks for watching–wherever you may be.

Arlington Reads is made possible by the Friends of the Arlington Public Library.
