The Library App Puts Summer Reading in Your Pocket
Use the Arlington Public Library App to track your Summer Reading and that of other readers in your family or household.
Register for Summer Reading in the Library App, create a reading log for each reader in your household and then track your days of reading.
How to Participate in Summer Reading Through the Library App
Get the Library App:
- Search for "Arlington Public Library" in the App Store or in the Google Play Store and look for the County logo in pink.
- After downloading the App, log into your Library Account with your library card number or username and password. (You can manage multiple Library Accounts in the Library App.)
- Register for Summer Reading by creating a reading log to track your reading.
Don't see My Summer Reading in the Library App?
Update to the latest version of the Library App in the App Store or in the Google Play Store.
Manage multiple reading logs with one Library Account on the Library App:
Each reading log must back up to a Library Account managed in the Library App, but one account - such as a parent's account - can be used as the back-up for all of the kid accounts in a family. Each kid does not need to have a library account to backup the data.
Track a reading log from more than one Library App/device:
If a reading log is backed up to a Library Account that is managed on more than one person's Library App/device, that reading log will be available on both of those devices. For example, a parent can manage both their own Library Account and their middle schooler's Library account on their Library App. If the middle schooler also has her own Library Account on the Library App, and the data backup for the middle schooler's reading log is her own Library Account, then both parent and child can track the middle schooler's reading log.
The Library App and the Summer Reading module were developed by the Arlington County Department of Technology Services in collaboration with the Arlington Public Library.
