For every person who completes the 2023 Summer Reading program, the Friends of the Arlington Public Library will donate $1 to Educational Theatre Company, whose mission is to reach underserved communities through high quality theater education.
Read for 30 Days to Complete Summer Reading
Completion prizes for all ages:
- Earn a free book OR a coupon for one free book from any Friends of the Library bookstore!
- Earn a voucher for two free tickets to select Washington Nationals games.
- Read for a Cause: For every person who completes Summer Reading 2023, the Friends of Arlington Library will donate $1 to Educational Theatre Company.
Complete 3 Bonus Challenges to Become a Super Reader!
Not ready to be done with Summer Reading once you’ve completed the Challenge?
Dive into these Bonus Challenges and complete three to become a Super Reader! Pick up your prize in person at any Library location.
Super Reader Prizes for All Ages
- Your choice of a Squishmallow keychain or a free ticket to the Long Bridge Aquatic Center!
- Be automatically entered into a drawing to be County Manager for the day!
Bonus Challenges are listed in the app and in the Summer Reading brochure; check off any that you complete:
- Attend a Library program.
- Bring a friend to the Library.
- Tell a librarian about an interesting book you’ve read.
- Read a book from one of the Library’s book lists.
- Download and read an eBook, eAudiobook or eMagazine.
- Write a letter to a family member, friend or neighbor to share your thoughts.
- Write a letter to an author or organization to share your opinions.
- Read for 10 more days.
