The Library App Puts Summer Reading in Your Pocket
Use the Arlington Public Library App to track your Summer Reading, and that of other readers in your family or household.
My Summer Reading
Use the Arlington Public Library App to create a reading log for each reader in your household and track your Summer Reading.
How do I get the Library App?
Search for "Arlington Public Library" in the App Store (for Apple devices) or in the Google Play Store (for Android devices) and look for the County logo in pink. After downloading the App, log into your Library Account with your library card number or username and password. (You can manage multiple Library Accounts in the Library App.)
Register for Summer Reading by creating a reading log to track your reading.
I have the Library App, but don't see My Summer Reading. What do I do?
Update your Library App to the latest version - 1.8.07 - in the App Store (for Apple devices) or in the Google Play Store (for Android devices).
You can manage multiple reading logs with one Library Account on the Library App:
Each reading log must back up to a Library Account managed in the Library App, but one account - such as a parent's account - can be used as the back-up for all of the kid accounts in a family. Each kid does not need to have a library account to backup the data.
You can track a reading log from more than one Library App/device:
If a reading log is backed up to a Library Account that is managed on more than one person's Library App/device, that reading log will be available on both of those devices. For example, a parent can manage both their own Library Account and their middle schooler's Library account on their Library App. If the middle schooler also has her own Library Account on the Library App, and the data backup for the middle schooler's reading log is her own Library Account, then both parent and child can track the middle schooler's reading log.
Unable to track your Summer Reading progress online? If you are using the paper log, you will need to let us know once you've completed the challenge. Report your completion in person or by phone at any open Library location. We will need your name, age, and a phone number or email address to contact you if you win the raffle prizes.
The Library App and the Summer Reading module were developed by the Arlington County Department of Technology Services in collaboration with the Arlington Public Library.
