Update January 11, 3:30 p.m.
Arlington Public Library will have a limited supply of COVID-19 Rapid Antigen At-Home Test Kits for distribution on Wednesday, Jan. 12 at 10 a.m., when libraries open. There are approximately 1,240 test kits, divided proportionally across all Library locations.
Each visitor may request up to two test kits. Rapid Antigen Tests provided by Virginia Department of Health (VDH) are packaged one test per box. Tests expire quickly, and are meant to be used immediately, not saved for a “just in case” scenario.
For distribution at Central Library, please go to the 10th Street Parking lot, next to the tennis courts, and enter at the Auditorium side doors.
Due to increased demand, test kits at library locations are expected to be out of stock very quickly. Please check back for updates on future availability.
Additional opportunities for testing can be found on VDH’s website.
In collaboration with the Virginia Department of Health (VDH), Arlington Public Library is working to distribute free COVID-19 Rapid Antigen At-Home Test Kits.
When available, test kits are dispensed on a first-come, first-served basis, and can be picked up from the service desk at each Library location. Neither proof of County residency nor a library card is required, and the kits are free of charge. Visitors are welcome to pick up test kits for both themselves and household members. Masks are required in all Library buildings – including when picking up a test. Anyone exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms should have someone pick up the test on their behalf.
Due to high demand for Rapid COVID-19 Antigen At-Home Test Kits, we are working with the Virginia Department of Health to replenish our supply as soon as possible. Please check this page regularly for updates or visit your library location for test kit availability.
