It looks to be a unique workweek for thousands of federal employees in the area.
If you’re the type that needs to follow a routine and be among people, then grab some coffee and hit the Library (yes, non-alcoholic drinks are welcome).
We’ve got eight locations across Arlington with lots of desk space, WiFi, public PCs, printers, copiers, meeting rooms, career resources, assorted happenings and plenty of reading material, old and new. We’ll even let you charge your phone.
You certainly won’t feel obligated to buy anything so stay all day if you like.
If you just want to spend the time at home, don’t forget that we can help keep you occupied there too.
A federal government shutdown is never routine but our doors will be open right on time.

This is why I love the Library. Best place in town.

If my arms were big enough, I’d hug my local library. When Congress gives you a furlough, I say make furlough-aide. Hanging out for a while at the library these past couple days has been absolutely splendid.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate having the Library available. It is a comfort to think that, during this difficult and uncertain time, the Library is still open to us. Thanks again!
