Win a Kindle Fire HD 8 for Library Card Sign-Up Month

Post Published: August 28, 2019

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month

New Library cards

You already know that your Arlington Public Library card gives you access to thousands of print books, DVDs, magazines, e-books and e-audiobooks, as well as online databases and newspapers, board games, garden tools, and much more.

Each year in September, the American Library Association and libraries nationwide join together to celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month, to remind people around the country that signing up for a library card is the first step towards academic achievement and lifelong learning.

We love our Library community, so this year we're celebrating Library Card Sign-Up Month with the chance to win a Kindle Fire HD 8!

How to Enter the Kindle Fire Raffle

  • Don't have a library card? Sign up at any Library location.
  • Renew your expired library card.
  • Have a library card? Refer someone else to get one! This enters both of you in the raffle. You can accompany a friend to the Library to get a new library card, or your friend can tell us, "Jane LibraryFan said I should get a  library card!" when signing up for a new library card.

The raffle runs from September 1 - 30. The winner will be contacted by Friday, Oct. 4.

The Fine Print

Only one entry per person.

Online library card applications are not automatically included in the raffle, but if you apply for a library card online and come in to the Library to activate your permanent library card between September 1 - 30, you will be entered.
